This website has been developed with the sole purpose of helping you with all of your dog-training issues.

We genuinely want you to have the best possible experience you can with your dog plus have some fun along the way!

I myself, have been involved in dog training and provision of dog related teaching materials for many years. I leant many of my dog training skills from my Father who seemed to have a connection with dogs that had to be seen to believe.

I have published over a dozen books and audios now and am always busy working on my next project. I am just dog mad!

House Training Your Puppy is largely a matter of, observance and persistence. When you see your dog acting like he has to “go”, then you should immediately bring them outside to the area that you want him to do his business and.

House training your puppy is the quickest and simplest method for house coaching puppies. House training your puppy involves nipping, biting, chewing, barking, jumping, leash training and bathing as well as potty training. This is all just a part of taking care of your pet .

Everyone in the house must take these steps each and every day. If one person allows the dog to go in the house he will always go in the house.

Everyone expects a small baby to cry during the night and they attend to it knowing this particular stage in the baby’s development won’t last very long.

To me puppies are no different from babies in this respect and I like to give them the same consideration, to do this will mean a bit of inconvenience and getting up in the night a few times so that their daytime routine remains unbroken and there is less opportunity to soil in the house.

Remember that you are solely responsible for teaching your dog. Remember your puppy is small (even if it is a LARGE breed) and likewise their bladder is small, so they will have to relieve themselves more frequently.

Also remember that the more you feed and/or water them the more they will have to go. Remember that puppies especially are going to be governed by this system and that you should take some time to make sure that you can stick with it.

Canine Cushings Disease – Keeping Your Dog’s Health In Shape

Canine Cushings Disease can be a degenerative disease and brain-endocrine disorder that is recognized to affect additional than half a million dogs. This is considered a medical complex disorder and it is caused by an excess on the naturally developed steroid known as cortisol or glucocoticoid.

Cushings Disease is a condition seen in dogs which is often mistaken for a dog simply getting old. Cusings Disease is a condition diagnosed by a urine cortisol/creatinine ratio test, an ACTH stimulation test, and low and high dose dexamethasone suppression tests.

Cushings Disease occurs in horses of about twenty years of age. The disease is caused by pituitary gland malfunction, and causes hormonal imbalance.

Treatment involves the use of different adrenolytic agents, enzyme inhibitors and ketaconazole. Surgery is indicated in some cases. Treatment is stopped once the water consumption or appetite starts to decrease. Treatment with homeopathic remedies is a viable option.

Canine Lyme Disease – Basic Knowledge In Deer Tick Protection

Canine Lyme Disease is caused by Borrelia burgdorferi and carried by deer ticks (or connected ticks).In areas wherever the sickness is common up to 75% of dogs will test positive for exposure. Puppy training disease can trigger difficulties in several parts of your dog’s system.

Canine Lyme disease symptoms usually occur within a period of two to five months of the dog being bitten by a tick. A brief description of canine Lyme disease symptoms has been described below.

Lyme disease does not begin as a psychiatric illness. Other symptoms occur in early stage disease. Lyme disease patients experiencing heart symptoms are treated with antibiotics, such as ceftriaxone or penicillin, given intravenously for about two weeks.

Lyme disease is most prevalent in the northeast region of the United States, the north central states, and on the west coast, especially northern California. It is also found in Europe as well as in parts of Asia and Australia.

Typical symptoms include fever, headache, fatigue, and a characteristic skin rash called erythema migrans . If left untreated, infection can spread to joints, the heart, and the nervous system.

Typically the first and most distinctive symptom of Lyme Disease is an expanding rash which usually radiates from the site of the tick bite. The rash usually appears 1-2 weeks after the tick bite.

Vaccination should be discussed with your veterinarian. Vaccinating your dog will protect it from several deadly diseases and viruses. It is best to not take your puppy to locations other dogs visit until it has most of its vaccinations.

Vaccinations can be started after 12 weeks with two doses given three weeks apart and then yearly boosters. It is also recommended that the vaccine be only given where lyme disease is a problem.
