Just a word of caution though, some of these bad behavior may be cute and funny now but think about it, do you think the same deed can still be funny a few years from now?
Will you still be laughing when your dog starts to tear some important papers or destroy your favorite slippers? Not so funny now right?
So before these behaviors stop becoming funny, it’s suggested that you correct them before all hell breaks loose.
Correcting these bad behaviors should start when your dog is still young. The sooner you fix the problem the easier it will be. Remember that correcting your dog doesn’t give you the right to cause him pain and harm.
There are actually a lot of ways to correct these behaviors. One of them is by commanding your dog to “stop” or by saying “no” and ignoring him for some time. If your dog does stop in doing his bad deed then immediately praise him.
Another method that you can use is by spraying some water in your dog’s face to make him stop. Again, if your dog does stop immediately reward him with treats and with praise.
It’s also important that you be consistent and firm when you’re correcting these bad behaviors. Remember these bad behaviors can’t correct themselves so just be patient and continue to do your best in dog training Kansas City.
